Carabetta Florist has a long history in the floral industry with over 80 years of experience. Founded in 1929 by Salvatore Carabetta, Carabetta Florist has deep roots in the town of Meriden. Salvatore moved to Meriden from Italy, and started the store with the money he was able to save up.

As the family grew, so did the business. In the 1950’s, Carabetta Florist was the premier Carnation grower in New England shipping from New York to Boston. Sam Carabetta experimented with the miniature Carnation, and to this day, the pink mini carnation is still referred to as the “Sam’s Pink” Carnation.

In 1961, George Carabetta took over the family business from his father and ran it for 28 years before selling it in 1989 to his nephew Scott Kipphut, who currently owns and operates the business today. Scott is a third generation owner of the family run business, and had over 11 years of experience before buying the business. Now, Scott has over 31 years of experience in the floral industry.

Located conveniently on East Main Street in Meriden, Carabetta Florist only uses the highest quality and freshest flowers available, and prides itself on the quality of its arrangements.

So come on down to Carabetta Florist today, or build your own arrangement online, and let the work and years of experience of Carabetta Florist speak for itself.
